Florian Richter was born in Stuttgart in November, 1977 as a child of VII. Generation artist family. His ancestors worked mainly with horses. The experience with the horses was developed from generation to generation further and further. Florian's parents Joseph Richter and Carola Richter were the most successful Hungarian acrobats at their time. They have traveled all over the world with their show. They have won the silver prize in Monte Carlo in 1974. As recognition of his professional career, József Richter was awarded to the Jászai Mari award and received the golden honors state medal.
They were also participating in several large-scale movies, such as the James Bond film Octopus. Several advert spots were filmed, including the one together with the seven-time Tour de France winner, Lance Armstong, which was shown on CNN America. At the end of his professional career, Jozsef Richter established the Hungarian National Circus.

Looking at his parent’s successful background Florian was facing high expectations. Jozsef Richter began to teach his son how to handle horses when Florian was 5 years old.
He began his career at the age of nine in Japan, when his mother had an accident and Florian had to step-in.

As the years passed, a lot of exercising and the endurance helped him to be the best equestrian acrobat in the circus history.

At the same time he taught horses. All the results and successes he achieved are with his horses. He discovered the world of horses and was able to teach them choreography elements. It was always important to add sense and style to a production. He was never imitating, rather innovating!

In 1998, he got married with Edit (Edit Folco), who also comes from an artist family. They have two beautiful children, Kevin (8) and Angelina (3).
In 2003, Richter Florian was awarded with the Károly Hortobágyi Prize in recognition of his work.
